Sustainable Strategy
A sustainable business strategy is a set of actionable steps that a company takes to improve their impact on the community and the environment. It incorporates economic, environmental, and social factors into an organization’s policies, practices, and processes to create long-term benefits for the organization and its employees while being mindful of conserving and protecting resources. In short, sustainable strategy for us is defining the right actions.
Defining the right actions to become sustainable as an enterprise is about making the link with noble purpose, and letting the strategy support the realization of that noble purpose. This process requires a collective of high impact leaders that not only understand the importance of such a strategy and of sustainability, but that are willing to review their ‘classical’ way of doing business by a noble purpose driven approach.
A collective too can have a sustainable strategy: the way how they will cooperate and transform themselves as a collective to serve the noble purpose of the organization. It’s about the alignment between what they will do and how they will do it.
For an individual we obviously don’t speak about a business strategy, but about creating a Life that is steered from integrity and authenticity. The sustainable part comes from the alignment. The strategy comes from the integer way wherewith a high impact leader will live a Life of noble purpose.
What is the overarching principle of sustainable strategy between an organization, a collective and an individual is about how they will build and execute a plan to realize their noble purpose in an authentic and coherent way.
