We stayed for a long weekend in Milan, Italy, last week and spent a great moment in the Milan Bulgari Hotel. It was a real treat for all our senses and a confirmation that esthetics and style are definitely my ’thing’. I am writing about this experience because as a seasoned (business) traveler I often come at different places and stay many nights per year at all kinds of hotels, most of them design or boutique hotels. And each time it strikes me how much it is important to feel the intentions wherewith the hotel owners and staff have designed and equipped their place, and how they tune in the building, the look and feel and the service.
I strongly believe that people benefit massively from living a harmonious life (whatever the definition you give to that), having harmonious relations and living and working in harmonious places. Harmony as such, in my experience and belief, brings a huge extra to the sense of well-being, joy and happiness.
That’s why the designed entrance, the luxuriously equipped rooms, the friendly and authentic service, the little extra’s and the refinement you find all over, make a stay in a place like the Milan Bulgari like a unique experience to cherish long after …
